Procedure Design course for Helicopters

Flight Validation Pilot Training Course.

Training of flight validation pilots in procedure design criteria in accordance with ICAO DOC 9906 (Quality Assurance Manual for Flight Procedure Design), in particular Volume 6 (Flight Validation Pilot Training and Evaluation)

Course Description

Comprehensive Instrument Procedure Design Course: module 1 : Non Precision approach

This course can be considered as the first step of a thorough training to design IFR trajectory or as a course to practice criteria limited to NPA and
STAR, for refreshment purposes or improvement of current practice .

This training is based on web format

Prerequisite

The course content and organisation allow to receive attendees even with a short background in procedure design but basic knowledge in mathematics, trigonometry, aerodynamics, aircraft operations.

Prerequisite information and question are provided byfore the attendance of thi web format training course

Objectives

To provide with regulations and practical materials in order to perform the design and the computation of IFR trajectories.

In this course STandard ARrival trajectories, and Non Precision Approaches are presented.

Course description

Comprehensive Instrument Procedure Design Course: module 2 :

Arrival and Non Precision Approach for PBN or conventional procedures

This course can be considered as the second step of a thorough training to design any IFR trajectory or as a course to practice criteria for both RNAV/PBN  and conventional trajectory, for refreshment purposes or improvement of current practice.

Prerequisite

Attendees shall master the general rules and principles used in procedure design (part I sections 1 and 2 of Doc 8168- OPS/611).
They must have a valid IPD1 or same level with experience in NPA procedures design.

Objectives

To provide with regulations criteria and practical materials in order to perform the design and the computation of IFR trajectories.
In this course regulations criteria and practical materials in order to perform the design and the computation of RNAV/PBN trajectories and Conventional trajectories for Non Precision Approaches are presented.

Course Description

Comprehensive Instrument Procedure Design Course: Module 3 :

Departure and Approach with vertical guidance (PA and APV)

This course can be considered as the third step of a thorough training to design any IFR trajectory or as a course to apply procedure design criteria for departure and vertical guided approaches.

Objectives

In this course, regulations criteria and practical materials in order to perform the design and the computation of

- RNAV and conventional departure

- Precision and APV approaches

are presented.
