General objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- put into equations the main flight phases of an aircraft
- identify the flight envelope limitations due to the aircraft and their impact on performance
Detailed objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- define and simplify aircraft movement equations
- model the main stabilised phases of flight
- describe the manoeuvering capabilities (load factor)
- describe and translate the consequences of wind and gradient into equations
- describe the specifics of high-speed / high-altitude flight
- describe the specifics of take-off and landing
